What
is a SafeList?
A
SafeList is a special email list whose members all agree to receive ads
from each
other. Since everyone has to join, and verify their membership,
it is also known as an
Opt-In List.
Now
the Big Question. Will I receive a lot of emails by joining a Safelist?
This
will depend what level you join at. Free Members will receive many emails
where
some SafeLists allow you to shut-off the mail.
The
larger the subscriber list is in a Safelist, the more emails you will receive.
How many emails you receive per day depends upon how many ads are posted by
other members.
I
actually prefer small SafeLists. Mainly because when people join New
SafeLists,
they are more prone to view other members Ads.
It's
recommended to open an extra email account when joining a Safelist.
Almost
all Safelists require you to Validate your subscription, to make sure you
use a
valid email address.
Now
you can get around receiving many emails by joining as a Paid Member.
Many
Safelists, but not all, offer their subscribers a Paid Upgrade option.
By
Upgrading, you will have the option Not to receive emails from non-paying members.
Or in other Safelists, paying members have the option not receive any
emails at all.
Can
you get in trouble for Spamming by using a Safelist?
No.
All members have joined knowing that they will be receiving Ads from other members.
All members have Opt-In to the SafeList.
Another
important issue to keep in mind, all Safelists have different rules to abide by
so Be Sure To Read The Terms.
Some
allow you to mail out your ad once per day, while others, if they are based on
a
Points System, allow you to mail out as many ads as long as you have
an adequate
amount of points in your account.
But
please don't send out the same ad over and over.
That will be considered Spamming
the List.
Another
Very Important Issue to keep in mind. We are seeing many people, once they
validate
their email address, go back and enter an autoresponder email address thinking
they are getting over on the list owners and collecting email addresses. WRONG!!
Two
things will happen if you do this.
First, You
Will Be Terminated From The List and possibly lose money if you upgraded.
Second,
by using an autoresponder, you will just create a Loop in
the mailing system and No-one will see your Ad.
Many
people and programs urge their members to use autoresponders as a return address
in their mailings. Here at Wenjo's, We Just Don't Go For That!!!
Plain
And Simple! This Is Spam Anyway You Look At It!
We Do Not Endorse Spam Or
Programs That Work This Way.
We will cover this in our AutoResponder section.
Ok
now, let's get started.
Below are Safelists that we use and are subscribed
to here at Wenjo's.
Look over each and pay Close Attention to their Terms
and Rules.
